What is happening?

It has been a while since I posted here – I plan to reinvigorate this blog and here is the first post in this reinvigoratification.

There have been a few things going on the moon.

My first ever cartoon book is coming out – it is in fact a book of cartoons about the Western Bulldogs 2013 season and that is pretty funny.

I am appearing on Insiders – Talking Pictures this week with the lovely Mr Bowers, that’s on ABC1 at 9am

First Dog on the Moon’s Guide to Modern Living continues happily on Radio National every Sunday morning just before 10am.

The Elves in the First Dog on the Moon Institute Toy Workshop have jammed the firstshoponthemoon with all sorts of exciting thingies in time for Christmas.

Including but not limited to…

Stand by for more things as I think of them.

Cartoobs to Sydney!

Negotiations are underway to get Cartoobs and other Typos to Sydney and it may happen in July or even August. You’re welcome.

Melbourne International Comedy Festival

More good news. I will be returning my award winning show Cartoobs and Other Typos to the stage during the Melbourne International Comedy Festival from 27 March to 21 April 2013. Some sneaky early tickets are already on sale via Ticketmaster.

Adelaide Fringe Festival

After winning the Adelaide Fringe Tour Ready Award at the Melbourne Fringe Festival, it seemed rude not to take a little roadtrip and bring Cartoobs and Other Typos to Adelaide Fringe Festival. Tickets are on sale now and I would love to see you all at the show. It’s a very limited season, so book early to avoid disappointment.

You can book tickets here.

Cartoobs and Other Typos wins an award!

Sincere thanks to the Melbourne Fringe Festival and Adelaide Fringe Festival, who in their infinite wisdom have seen fit to award Cartoobs and Other Typos the Tour Ready Award. This is hand-picked by Adelaide Fringe Festival director Greg Clarke, so we are suitably chuffed about the whole thing. And yes, this does mean that we will be in Adelaide for the Fringe Festival in 2013. Stay tuned for more details.

Talking Pictures on ABC’s Insiders

Did you know one of my cartoons was discussed on Talking Pictures this week? It was. You can even see what they had to say about it here.

In even more exciting news, I will be appearing on this very segment in person this week. You can tune in from 9am on Sunday morning to see me in conversation with Michael Bowers.

Another review!

Another review of Cartoobs and Other Typos has been published, this time at Australian Stage. I’m pleased to say they also enjoyed the show and said nice things about it. You can read the full review here.

First review for Cartoobs and Other Typos

The lovely folks at Arts Hub came along to see the show (which is going swimmingly, thanks for asking). They have even written a rather lovely review, which you can read here. I quite like the bit where they call my cartoons ‘simply wonderful’.

More tickets for all Melbourne Fringe Festival shows!

Goodness. Things have gone a little crazy around here. As fate would have it, we’ve been moved to an even larger room for the whole season of Cartoobs and Other Typos. Yes. It’s rather exciting. That means there are now tickets available for each and every show! The new room is still at the Lithuanian Club, so for those who already have tickets you just need to turn up to the same place, but at 9.15pm rather than 9.00pm. Or you can turn up at 9.00pm and fill in those extra 15 minutes chanting for me to take to the stage.
